Glenn Pleasant
A North Carolina native, Glenn moved to Wilmington as a teenager and quickly learned to love Southeastern NC. After graduating from New Hanover High School he attended UNCW. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, Angie and he married. He also returned to UNCW to earn his Master's in Education in Curriculum, Supervision, and Instruction. He taught at Dorothy B. Johnson Elementary School in Wilmington, NC for twelve years and then transitioned to Myrtle Grove Christian School. During his fifteen years at Myrtle Grove, he served as Lower School Principal, Head of School, and various other leadership positions. Some noted accomplishments at Myrtle Grove include improvements to the professional development program and the creation of the Timothy Center, a program to serve students with learning differences and gifted abilities. In addition, he coordinated and lead the school through a dual accreditation process with the Association of Christian Schools International and Cognia. He has been a part of NSCL since its initial concept, serving with the initial steering team, and directing the development of the program.
Glenn has been married to his wife, Angie for over 27 years. Their daughter Allyson is a firefighter in Lumberton, NC. Their son Michael is the Student Pastor at Mars Hill Community Church in Powder Springs, GA. He loves fishing, being on the water, and cooking. He and his wife are members and love serving at Northside Church.
